RWTÜV Foundation was established in 2007 by RWTÜV e.V. Its purpose, "to promote science and research in the fields of technology, safety and the environment", is complementary to the purpose of its founding association. RWTÜV Foundation supports scientific projects at many well-known universities in Germany. Sponsored projects range from nanotechnology and fuel cells to radar technology for autonomous driving.
