Personal exchange inspires and motivates

Dear readers,

We returned from a trip to the USA this month in a positive mood and with lots of new ideas; the regular meeting with colleagues from CETECOM Inc. was one of the highlights of the summer.

Equally inspiring is the determination of a young colleague who we would like to introduce to you this month: Anja Kampert from MN Ingenieure represents exactly the type of young professional that every company dreams of. Passing on spirit like Anja's, awakening it, finding and promoting talent is also the aim of our new HR tool “Young Professional Summit”, also the subject of the following short articles.

Last but not least, we, or rather the Enoplan Group, have expanded a little again. But read for yourself!

Yours
Thomas Biedermann and Fabian Fechner

Ready

Enthusiastic and inspired, RWTÜV Managing Director Thomas Biedermann returned from a trip to CETECOM Inc. in Milpitas, USA, at the beginning of August. “Our colleagues in the USA are looking to the future with great commitment and innovative ideas. The management team is optimally positioned and speaks with one voice – you can only experience such positive vibes through personal exchange on site, it simply cannot be replaced by an online meeting!” says Biedermann, assessing the meeting. The strategy for the coming years was discussed together. The cetecom advanced companies are well positioned worldwide, strong in their customer orientation, quality, know-how and consulting expertise. The international exchange between the companies is now to be further intensified and additional, concerted marketing and sales activities are planned. New products and an expanded range of services will be used to gradually capture additional market share. The integration of the PMT project management software and the increasing use of AI in everyday work and processes in the USA will also be a focus.

One of these new offerings, for example, is CETECOM Inc.'s testing and certification services for amateur radio and unlicensed “Part 15 devices”, i.e. digital and electronic products with low levels of prescribed electromagnetic interference such as wristwatches, musical instruments, computers, telephones and low-power transmitters.

NextNav, a company that provides positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) solutions, had proposed changes in the 902-928 MHz band. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the U.S. federal agency for interstate and international radio, telephone, television, cable and satellite communications in the U.S. and its territories, responded last year with a so-called standard update on federally mandated limits on intentional, unintentional or incidental emitters without an individual license. CETECOM's Milpitas location can now provide the appropriate radio/EMC testing and assist with the implementation of the updated regulations.

Integrated

Exciting news from Enoplan: The company has taken over EnIA Energieberatung and integrated it into the Enoplan Group.

EnIA, which has been active in energy consulting for 18 years, was founded in 2006, specializing in key account management in the technical field, in particular efficiency analyses and energy audits. As part of a succession plan and to ensure that the services can be continued at the highest level, EnIA decided to integrate into the Enoplan Group.

The strategic decision provides the Group with further market share and additional customers, who can then benefit from Enoplan's comprehensive range of services. In addition to customized purchasing models, innovative measurement technology and comprehensive energy efficiency services, this also includes electromobility solutions and complete, sustainable energy concepts. With its portfolio tailored to the requirements of the energy transition, the Enoplan Group can provide its clients with the best possible support in times of change.

Versatile

RWTÜV subsidiary MN Ingenieure plans and implements innovative concepts and the complete technology (heating, air conditioning, ventilation, sanitary and electronic equipment) for buildings in collaboration with clients, architects, project managers and construction companies. In the RWTÜV series about special people and their tasks in the Group, the focus today is on Anja Kampert, a trainee at MN Ingenieure since January 2023.

She began her academic career by studying systems engineering and technical cybernetics at OVGU Magdeburg, but switched to mechatronic systems engineering at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences after the second semester. Here, her passion for math, art and craftsmanship found the perfect synergy in working on basic mathematical models in combination with the search for creative solutions. This choice also meant that Anja did not have to decide prematurely whether she wanted to choose mechanical engineering over electrical engineering - or vice versa. The Magdeburg native (??) wrote her bachelor's thesis at a VW supplier, which gave her valuable insights into the automotive industry; she gained her first professional experience at an engineering office for medical technology in Leipzig.

But Anja wanted to go one step further, to combine her interests, her analytical and creative skills. That is why she has now moved into technical building services. She has been employed as a trainee at MN Ingenieure since January 2023 and will begin further training as a building automation specialist in August. The 1.5-year course is offered by the Leipzig Chamber of Crafts and supported by the Employment Agency.

Building automation enables companies to achieve greater operational efficiency and more sustainable use of resources in their buildings. Its use can reduce operating costs, extend the service life of building technology and create an optimal working environment. In the private sector, building automation provides greater convenience, security and energy efficiency. Intelligent control systems can optimize energy consumption and reduce costs, while at the same time increasing living comfort.

As soon as Anja has completed her training, she will join the project teams at MN Ingenieure as a building automation specialist and use her expert knowledge of sensor/actuator technology to form the interface between information technology and technical building equipment. With her diverse interests and determination, she is already a role model for young women in technical professions.

Ambitious

The RWTÜV HR development program is being expanded to include a promising new module: the Young Professional Summit (YPS). Starting next year, selected employees of the Group will have the opportunity to develop further. Extensive experience will be offered and the exchange with colleagues from different areas will be intensified. Talents and their development can be promoted through an inspiring environment, additional options and the identification of individual strengths.

Fabian Fechner, Managing Director of the RWTÜV Group, welcomes the inclusion of the additional tool in the HR calendar: “The YPS program is an important step towards identifying talent at an early stage and actively supporting the careers of our employees. Whether it's a specialist or management career, we want to discover and retain those with special skills by supporting them in shaping their professional careers in the best possible way. We look forward to shaping a successful future together with many innovative business ideas!”
